On April 22, 2016, UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa signed the first document in establishing the Hani Fahs Award for Dialogue and Pluralism.
The founders of this award:
– Hani Fahs Academy of Dialogue and Peace
– UNESCO Chair at the University of St. Joseph
– UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa
– Dar al-‘Ilm al-Khoei Institute
The award will be given to the best research, thesis or project in the community. The research must be aligned with academic aims, independently or with an organization. To participate, you must submit an application, and the organizing committee will decide who will win.
The Hani Fahs committee will consist of three researchers from different universities in the Arab world, and a prominent figure in the academic field. This award is to support research in interfaith and intercultural dialogue in the Middle East.
The Hani Fahs Award (2016-2017) will be held at University of Kufa in collaboration with UNESCO Chair, Saint Joseph University (Beirut, Lebanon) and Dar al-‘Ilm al-Khoei Institute.
