Hani Fahs Award at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon 2016

Director of UNESCO Chair at university of Kufa Dr. Hassan Nadhem attended a prestigious award ceremony in memory of Hani Fahs at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon.

Dr. Hassan presented the ceremony with a speech on the importance of such ceremonies to celebrate excellent research in the field of peace and tolerance, and strengthing relations between faiths and intellectuals in the name of Hani Fahs, who lived his life for such as cause.

Hani Fahs prize was awarded to Professor Samir Franjieh, in recognition of peacemaking and his defense of pluralisms.

The prize was also awarded to Ream Ghanem from Iraq (MA Student) for her sound and intricate biography of Hani Fahs’s intellectual and political influence, as well as Rabab al-Khatib from Lebanon on the hierarchy of values ​​in Islam.
