In continuation to the series of workshops held in cooperation with the Lebanese American University, the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa held the second workshop on the electoral process and its laws on the 14th of January, 2019.
The workshop included two sessions in which the participants discussed the electoral law and the challenges of reforming the electoral process, as well as the experiences of the parliamentary elections in Iraq since 2005 up until 2018. The event was attended by a number of scholars, deans and professors from Iraqi universities and representatives from civil society organizations in Najaf.
