The UNESCO Chair participated in a scientific seminar on the revolution of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and its effects in the African continent on 9/9/2023.
Dr. Tahseen Fadel Abbas, the representative of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa, participated in the online seminar titled “The Revolution of Imam Hussein and Its Effects in the African Continent,” alongside the Egyptian thinker Ahmed Shihata and Dr. Majid Mazhar from Diyala University on 9/9/2023, organized by the African Studies Center affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at The Al-Abbas’s (P) holy shrine.
The research paper addressed the impact of the Husseini revolution in the African continent and its role in promoting human values, lifting oppression from peoples, achieving reform, and spreading the values of justice and equality in societies, especially African societies. The research paper also discussed the spread of Husseini thought in the continent and the promotion of moderate Islamic values through the commemoration of religious occasions related to the issue of Imam Hussein and his approach, which calls for the spread of love and peace, an approach that is an extension of the approach of the prophets.
