UNESCO Chair participates in a panel discussion titled: Iraq Without Drugs.

The UNESCO Chair has participated in a dialogue seminar titled “Iraq Without Drugs,” held as part of the National Initiative for Development and Youth. The event took place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, and was organized by the Long-Term Organization for Human Rights and Sustainable Development in Najaf. It was conducted in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Youth and the Non-Governmental Organizations Department.

The seminar aimed to increase community awareness regarding the dangers of drugs and their detrimental impact on individuals and society. It emphasized the necessity of continuous awareness campaigns to safeguard youth from this hazardous issue. During the seminar, various solutions and strategies were proposed to combat the spread of this phenomenon throughout the country.

The participation of the UNESCO Chair in such community awareness events reflects its mission to acquire expertise and facilitate the exchange of knowledge to uphold societal security and peace. This includes addressing the issue of drug proliferation, exploring methods to curtail its spread, particularly in schools and universities, and fostering a secure environment for the youth.
