UNESCO Chair Participates in Two International Workshops in Beirut

Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa, participated in two international workshops held at the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) building in Beirut on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

The first workshop focused on the uses of artificial intelligence in education. Experts from Lebanon, Tunisia, Cyprus, and Djibouti delivered presentations addressing the experiences of using AI in these countries.

The second workshop addressed the topic of motivation in education and was led by Dr. Mohamed Mbareki from the AUF representation in Quebec, Canada. He discussed academic and administrative methods that support students’ motivation toward education and their relevance to the labor market.
