UNESCO Chair Held A Symposium On The Impact Of Tolerance On Community Peace.

In collaboration with the civil society department of the Faculty of Arts at Kufa University, the UNESCO Chair organized a symposium on the International Day for Tolerance. The event was held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, professors, and students from the Civil Society Department.

At the symposium, three lectures were presented. Dr. Ali Mousaui, Secretary-General of the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue in Oslo, presented the first lecture, “Tolerance of The Absent Humanity Theme”. The second lecture, “Reading in the UNESCO Declaration of the Principles of Tolerance”, was presented by Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair at Kufa University. Dr. Alaa Hussein Shebaa, a professor in the Civil Society department, presented the third lecture, “Legal Safeguards to Promote the Principle of Tolerance in Iraq”.
