Religious Extremism and its impact on Islamic thought

The UNESCO Chair for the Development of Inter-Religious Dialogue Studies in  the Islamic World at the  University of Kufa (UoK), convened an academic event on the

2nd  of April, 2015, titled “Religious Extremism and its Impact on Islamic Thought”. The symposium was held at the Faculty of Arts, aimed to confront extremist thoughts through gathering academic contributions  presented by researchers at well-known Iraqi universities, to strengthen tolerance and peaceful living  in the community. The objective  of this symposium is to tackle extremism in order  to establish for a better cohesive future .
