An international symposium on “Policies for cultural diversity in the Middle East”
In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities , The UNESCO Chair for Dialogue at university of Kufa organized a symposium entitled “Policies of Cultural Diversity in Middle East”, The symposium was managed by Dr. Hassan Nadem, Minister of Iraqi Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal , eleite (Arab and Iraqi ) intellectuals .
Dr. Alaa Shatnan , Director of the UNESCO Chair said : The guest discussed several topics that centered on the nature of cultural diversity in the countries of the Middle East and the Arab and Islamic world in general and the challenges that these countries face as a result of this diversity. He also explained how we can get a benefit from this religious, national and ideological diversity and how to manage it.
