UNESCO Chair Participates In An International Symposium About The History Of Baghdad

Dr. Alaa Shatnan, the Director of the UNESCO Chair participated in the international symposium “Is Baghdad The Heart Of The World? A New Look at The Image of Abbasid Capital in the Medieval ) organized by the French Institute of the Near East(ifpo)in cooperation with the French Institute in Beirut on Thursday, 31 March 2022.
Professor Rémy Gareil, is a historian specializing in the history of Islam in the Middle Ages and the intellectual and political history of Iraq in the Abbasi and Buehi eras at the Sorbonne-Paris addressed the history and image of Baghdad in the famous historical blogs from the blogs of Yaqubi and other historians throughout the ages and changes in the stereotype of the medieval city of Baghdad.
