The UNESCO Chair representative met with the President of the Republic of Iraq on 24th July 2023.

Dr. Tahseen Fadel Abbas, the UNESCO Chair Representative at the University of Kufa, met with the President of the Republic of Iraq as part of an academic and media delegation on Monday, July 24, 2023. They discussed the efforts of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa in the field of Inter-religious Dialogue in the Islamic World. They also talked about the UNESCO Chair’s collaboration with its partners to develop a curriculum about “Peaceful Coexistence” for Iraqi universities, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Additionally, they explored the proposal to hold an international conference on inter-religious dialogue in Iraq by the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue. The President commended the efforts of the UNESCO Chair and expressed his support for its diverse projects.
