The UNESCO Chair participates in an international symposium in Spain.

The UNESCO Chair, in collaboration with the Al al-Bayt (PBUH) Foundation for Heritage Revival in Spain and the Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) Center for Specialized Studies and Research in Najaf, held a scientific symposium titled “Imam al-Sadiq (PBUH) and the Muhammadan Constitution” at the foundation’s hall on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The event was attended by Haj Musa Al-Asam, President of the Foundation, and included the participation of Sayyid Ali Al-Jabri, General Supervisor of the Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) Center for Specialized Studies and Research in Najaf, and Dr. Ammar Nassar, a professor at the College of Arts, University of Kufa.

In his lecture, Dr. Tahseen Fadhil, the representative of the UNESCO Chair for Interreligious Dialogue at the University of Kufa, discussed the profound scholarly impact of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (PBUH) in various religious and scientific fields, particularly his contributions to preserving the legacy and laws of the noble Sunnah, which helped safeguard the Muhammadan Constitution.

The lecture also highlighted aspects of the life of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (PBUH), his key attributes, and his founding of the Ja’fari school of thought.
