Ms. Alia Abdullah Abdul Zahra, a member of the UNESCO Chair, participated in the virtual international symposium on “Experimentation in Feminist Interactive Action – Suad Aoun’s Poetry as a Model”, organized by the College of Education for Women, Department of Arabic Language at the University of Kufa. The symposium was presented remotely by Prof. Dr. Reda Amer, Director of the Laboratory of Literary and Critical Studies at Mila University in Algeria, with the participation of a large number of professors from the University of Kufa and other universities. It took place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 9:00 PM Iraq time.
The symposium focused on promoting feminist interactive action and the role of Eastern Arab women, through an analysis of a poem by Suad Aoun, presented by Prof. Dr. Reda Amer.
Discussions were held among participants on experimentation in interactive, digital, and associative action, as well as the feminist role in these fields. The session witnessed eloquent responses and active engagement from the session moderators.
The symposium aimed to explore methods of reading and analyzing poetic texts and how to address the manifestations of experimentation in interactive action, while emphasizing the importance of the feminist role in Arabic poetry.
