UNESCO CHAIR For Inter-Religious Dialogue Studies in The Islamic World
In joint cooperation between the UNESCO Chair for Dialogue at the University of Kufa and the Twa Organization for Human Rights and Sustainable Development in Najaf, the UNESCO Chair organized a training workshop presented by the member of the UNESCO Chair Office, Ms. Alia Abdullah Abdul Zahra, under the title “Youth Participation in Security and Peacebuilding”. The workshop took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
The workshop highlighted the roles that youth play in enhancing security and achieving peace both within academic circles and beyond. It also discussed the key contributions that should be made to promote peacebuilding and peaceful coexistence in society.
The event witnessed a large attendance of university students and youth, with numerous perspectives, discussions, and scientific interventions enriching the dialogue. The interaction between the attendees and the workshop management was remarkable, featuring insightful responses and active engagement.
This workshop is part of the UNESCO Chair’s ongoing efforts at the University of Kufa to collaborate with civil society organizations to foster the values of peace and tolerance in Iraqi society.
