A researcher at the UNESCO Chair for Interreligious Dialogue presents a Qur’anic framework for building a peacefully coexisting society

A researcher at the UNESCO Chair for Interfaith Dialogue at the University of Kufa, Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Amouri Sahib Tweij, has presented a scholarly paper entitled “The Qur’anic Framework for Building a Peacefully Coexistent Society.”

The study explores the Qur’anic foundations that support the development of communities rooted in peace and coexistence. In her research, the author focuses on several key themes, including the necessity of respecting religious and intellectual particularities, rejecting violence and extremism, and affirming shared values that contribute to social security and harmony.

The paper was published in the Journal of the College of Education for Women for Human Sciences, Issue (36), Volume I, Year (19), June 2025.

This study aims to present a modern Qur’anic vision that can inform educational and sociological fields, thereby fostering a culture of tolerance and mutual understanding within diverse communities.
