UNESCO CHAIR For Inter-Religious Dialogue Studies in The Islamic World
The Vatican delegation recently visited the Shrine of AL Imam Ali and Dar Al-Alam Museum and Library as part of the Christian-Islamic forum programme sponsored by the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa. This visit was held to commemorate the second anniversary of the Pope’s visit to Iraq, during which he had a historic meeting with the religious authority Ali Al Sistani.
A delegation includes researcher Stephen B. Young, Lord Daniel Brennan, House of Lords, London, John Dalla Costa, Dr Ahmed Al-Wakil, Dr Raed Sharafuddin and Mr Antoine Frim. They were accompanied by Dr Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair, and Dr Tahsin Fadil, member of the UNESCO Chair and General Coordinator of the Forum.
