UNESCO CHAIR For Inter-Religious Dialogue Studies in The Islamic World
In collaboration with the Al-Tawhid Mosque in Oslo, the UNESCO Chair for Interreligious Dialogue at the University of Kufa organized an intellectual symposium titled “The Philosophy of Monotheism and Human Nature” at the mosque’s hall on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. The speakers included Dr. Tahseen Fadhil, the representative of the UNESCO Chair for Interreligious Dialogue, Sayyid Ali Al-Jabri, General Supervisor of the Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) Center for Specialized Studies and Research in Najaf, Dr. Ammar Nassar, a professor at the College of Arts, University of Kufa, and Sheikh Mahmoud Jaloul from the Al-Tawhid Mosque. The symposium was moderated by Dr. Ali Mousa Al-Musawi, and the discussions revolved around “The Philosophy of Monotheism and Human Nature.” Several topics were presented for interactive discussion with the presence of a distinguished group of the Arab and Islamic community in Oslo.
In his lecture, Dr. Tahseen Fadhil emphasized the importance of monotheism in divine religions, especially in Islam, and defined monotheism based on Quranic texts, the Sunnah of the Prophet, and the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH).
