UNESCO Chair Participates in a Coordination Session on the Future of Education in the Middle East

At the conclusion of the regional seminars for French language departments, language centers, and universities in the Middle East—organized by the Middle East Regional Office of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in Beirut on Friday, April 11, 2025—Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair, took part in two roundtable discussions. These sessions focused on deepening the dialogue around innovation in teaching practices and the integration of graduates into the labor market, through the exchange of perspectives among university department heads from the region.

At the end of the event, all participants gathered for a closing session to identify shared directions and to develop a roadmap aimed at enhancing cooperation among Francophone universities in the Middle East, including the University of Kufa. The session emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and fostering coordination between corresponding academic departments and research centers within the AUF-affiliated universities in the region.
