Dr. Ahmed Uwaiz participated in the opening conference of the Chinese-Arab Center for Reform and Development, and the opening of the course for Arab officials at Shanghai University of International Studies. The conference was attended by officials mostly from Arab countries, acting of the League of Arab States in China and some Arab ambassadors as well as Chinese governmental and academic figures. 

The center is part of a joint initiative to build links between Eastern civilizations and promote cultural exchange between China and Arab countries.
