UNESCO Chairholder participated in a seminar on the translation movement and projects at the University of Kufa

Dr. Hassan Nadhem, the chairholder of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa, participated in a scientific seminar on the translation movement and its projects at the University of Kufa, which was organized by the Center of Kufa Studies within its annual scientific activities.

In his lecture, Dr. Hassan spoke about his personal experiences in the field of literary and philosophical translation as one of the most important translators in the Arab world. He highlighted the obstacles of the translation projects and the challenges faced by the Arabic translator and the scientific and cognitive aspects that must be learned when translating the text from a foreign language into Arabic, giving solutions and approaches to develop a scientific and academic plan to start a project concerned with the translation of important texts in various scientific and academic fields.

The session was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages at the University of Kufa Dr. Ahmed Shaker Al-Kilabi. Dr. Amir Al-Kilabi who is specialized in the field of translation also gave a lecture about the history of translation in the Arab world and movement, forms and ways to meet the challenges
