Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair at Kufa’s university met the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities(Dr. Hassan Nazim)  at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the Head of the Cultural Diversity department in the Ministry,(Mrs. Israa Fouad Shaker). The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation between the UNESCO Chair and the Cultural Diversity Department in view of their common interests and one field of work. It was agreed that a memorandum of understanding would soon be signed and a conference would be held at Kufa University under the auspices of the Ministry, entitled “Brotherhood and religious tolerance as a way to accept the other” soon later.
