The UNESCO Chair for Dialogue participated in the meeting of the Dialogue of Religions held at the “Universidad de la Mística” in the Avila last Tuesday,5 October.
The Iraqi delegation included a representative of the UNESCO Chair of Dialogue at the University of Kufa, Dr.Tahaseen Fadel Abbas, Mr. Zaid Bahr Al-Uloom from Al-Balaghi Academy of Dialogue, Dr.Abd al-Wahhab al-Samarrai imam and preacher in the Grand Imam Abu Hanifa al-Numan Mosque, Dr. Ali Hatem Hassan from the University of Baghdad and Director of the AAL AL-BAYT FOUNDATION in Spain.
The meeting focused on strengthening knowledge cooperation, organizing joint activities to promote knowledge-sharing between Iraqi and Spanish academic and research institutions, seeking common spaces for dialogue, and strengthening relationships that contribute to peacebuilding.
Participants discussed the possibility of joint cooperation and exchange visits by students and teachers from the various institutions concerned, as well as the organization of a possible conference in each Avila and Baghdad.
