Director of the UNESCO Chair Participates in the Meeting of UNESCO Chairs in Iraq

Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair, participated in a meeting that brought together the directors of UNESCO Chairs from Iraqi universities, including Kufa, Baghdad, and Mosul. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Wednesday, February 19, 2024, in the presence of the Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, the Head of the Arab and International Organizations Department, and the Director of the UNESCO Division.

During the meeting, discussions focused on organizational matters, the sustainability of the Chairs’ activities, the main challenges they face, ways to enhance their effectiveness, and future plans for their development.
