UNESCO CHAIR For Inter-Religious Dialogue Studies in The Islamic World
Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Kufa, participated in the coordinative meeting of UNESCO Chairs in Iraq, which was convened on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, under the auspices of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad.
The meeting addressed the preparatory arrangements for the second edition of the International Conference of UNESCO Chairs at Iraqi universities, scheduled to be held in early May of the coming year.
The meeting was attended by the directors of UNESCO Chairs at the Universities of Kufa, Baghdad, Mosul, Dhi Qar, Northern Technical University, and the American University of Baghdad, and was chaired by Dr. Muwaffaq Sajat, Director of the Department of Foreign and Arab Organizations.
