UNESCO Chair Advisor Dr. Ayad Anbar participated in a memorial conference on Yazidi genocide (third anniversary) on 3rd August, 2017, the conference held by the Organization of Yazidi in Babylon Hotel in Baghdad under the slogan “Yezidi’s The Oppressed People Between Justice, Equity and the Unknown Future”. This conference was an opportunity to talk and document the genocide and suffering by all the disparate groups of Iraq at the hands of terrorist groups, and the need to contribute and to draw a road map for achieving transitional justice in Iraq after Daesh.
