The new French Ambassador to  Iraq, Éric Chevalier, visited the UNESCO Chair of Dialogue with the President of  Kufa’s university and Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy in Iraq, Madame (Salwa Nakouzi), and the delegation accompanying them. Dr. Alaa Shatnan, Director of the UNESCO Chair, explained the nature of the Chair’s work, the date of its establishment, the reasons for its establishment in cooperation with UNESCO, and the main scientific activities and publications produced by it.

The Ambassador expressed his pleasure at visiting the Chair and expressed his readiness to continue the cooperation of the French Institute with the activities of the Chair. At the end of the meeting, a collection of books from the UNESCO Chair issues was presented to the French Ambassador.
