An interactive symposium on “Religious Dialogue and Cultural Communication” was held on May 15th, 2023, by the UNESCO Chair at Kufa University in collaboration with the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue. Dr Tahsin Fadil, a UNESCO Chair representative, presented at the event. The attendees included representatives from the Iraqi Embassy in Norway and individuals from Oslo’s diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. The symposium emphasized the significance of communication among individuals and communities for peaceful coexistence. This is a vital aspect of human existence. Therefore, religious and civilizational dialogues, education, and culture should be approached with a receptive attitude, mainly when dealing with different intellectual, social, or religious groups. Effective communication is the only way for individuals, groups, and nations to progress, which has been positively reflected in countries like Iraq and other nations and societies. Dr Tahsin Fadil, the representative of the UNESCO Chair, received a certificate of appreciation for his contributions to promoting peaceful coexistence and dialogue during the symposium by the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue.
